Heart to Heart Storytelling Sessions
The Storytelling Sessions are blocks of weekly 2 hour events, facilitated by Lindy and Ulf. The Storytelling Sessions will build participants' capacity to discover, develop and share stories. Heart to Heart Storytelling Sessions will consist a range of activities such as, narrative warm up games, storytelling improvisation, story sharing, story mentoring and storytelling skills.
Safe, Supportive Space.
The Heart to Heart Storytelling Sessions will provide a safe supported space where participants, through playful immersion in storytelling activities, will develop skills in story creation, storytelling & public speaking. Through the sharing of their stories within the Sessions group, participants will get to know a diverse range of people, form community ties and extend their community networks.
Building Community.
As participants share their own stories, and listen to the stories of others, they are given the opportunity to "see through the eyes of another", this in turn builds stronger communities as the story sharing promotes empathy and understanding. The interactive supported activities will develop participants confidence to share their stories with their friends and families, their neighbours and the wider community.
